Experiment: Stay positive, Day 5
Today was an amazing day! I think I’m in love…with a city.
* I visited Brighton (where I took the above picture)! I’m now seriously considering moving there next year. The whole city just has this amazing atmosphere about it!
* The company of my friends was amazing too!
* The festival that was going in Brighton, even though we didn’t have tickets…it seemed like a lot of fun, maybe next year?
* The band that was playing on the street where we were having lunch
* The fact that it’s only Friday and I still have 2 days of weekend to come
Satisfied and tired, this was definitely a good day :)
My experiment so far is working pretty well I must say! One of the benefits is that during the day, I now pay more attention to the nice and fun things I do, so I can remember to write them down in the evening. And focusing more on the good parts of the day makes my whole feeling of the day better!
The positive parts of today:
* I finally had an effective day of thesis writing!
* The weather was awesome today ^_^
* I finished my painting about my traveling heart (check http://life-as-i-create.tumblr.com/ if you want to see it ;))
* My best friend for 22 years is booking tickets to finally come and see me here :D
Today’s update for positive things in my life:
* My dad got home from the hospital a day early!
* Had a nice dinner with friends and we discussed our inner fruits. (I’m a banana: bananas are from Latin America, I dance salsa, which is also from Latin America, so I am a banana, makes sense?)
* Made a start on my painting and pretty satisfied so far
* The weather this afternoon! Forecast said rain, real life said: Hell no! We’ve seen enough of that, let’s do some sun today!

A collection of timelapses I shot in April, 2013. (and a few from early May) I also made the music with Garageband and Reason.
Amazing work this guy! His pictures are also beautiful, check it out!
Despite some bad news, there are still plenty of good things to say about today:
* My dad’s surgery went great! (That’s the best news I could get today!)
* It’s Tuesday, and that means salsa-night ^_^
* Some exciting prospects for next year became a bit clearer today, helping me straighten out some of the chaos in my head about this “what-to-do-after-September” topic
* Last night I worked on a new idea for a painting, and I can’t wait to get started!

Okay, so I want to try something here:
I’m going to write down a few positive things that happened every day.
A dear friend of mine has been doing this for the last few weeks and at first I was a bit hesitant about it.
But I think people complain waaaayyyy too much. Complaining is so easy! Just try it: only think about positive things, maybe even just for an hour, without complaining about something. Can you do it?
Today I realized biking my way home, fighting against the wind that every few seconds I was thinking: Gr#!&DK!@$ wind! And my whole mood turned to negative thoughts…for no particular reason if I think about it.
I’m not much of a spiritual person, but I do believe that if you keep your words and thoughts positive, you will feel positive and that will radiate to the people around you, making everything just a little easier :)
So…here we go! Staying positive day 1.
* Finally finish watching the videos for my thesis
* The fun I have with my friends/coursemates I share a room with
* The nice small workout I had, I tried yoga for the first time!
* And since it’s day 1 and I have some catching up to do: Damn I’m happy to live in the UK this year!
* The amazing people I met so far this year
* The decision to do something amazing end of this school year: climbing Mt Kilimanjaro! It gets me excited every single time I think about it!
Okay that’ll do for today :)
Some good advice for today
